OUR TEAM
Gina Scholes
Operations Director
Gina started as our deputy manager in 2007 and was promoted to the role of manager in 2009. She attained a foundation degree in "early years childhood studies" in 2016 and has subsequently added a number of other childcare qualifications to her portfolio. Gina's inspirational leadership role has been instrumental in maintaining our high standards and her dedication was rewarded in 2024 when she was promoted to the role of Operations Director. In her new role Gina will help to define the nurseries strategy and to implement the changes we constantly face in pre-school education and support the manager and the staff.
Pippa Carroll
Nursery Manager
Pippa previously worked for us as our deputy manager before taking on a managers role in another local Nursery. When we heard that Pippa was potentially looking for a new challenge we jumped at the chance to bring her back and offer her our managers role which enabled us to promote Gina. Taking over from Gina was always going to be a big job but Gina herself championed Pippa as she recognised her qualities. Pippa has a degree in Education and a Masters in HR and brings professionalism and a positive attitude to the role and we believe with Pippa and Gina working together the nursery will go from strength to strength.
Angela Donnan
Company Director
Angela is a qualified nurse and has brought many of the disciplines found in her profession to her role in defining our policies and procedures. Angela has a particular focus on infection control and the staff and children's heath and welfare. In addition Angela undertakes many of the businesses HR functions with Gina. Angela can also be seen around the nursery covering lunches and various shifts as required
Stephen Donnan
Company Director
Stephen ran his own IT business when he took over the nursery with Angela in 2004 and brings a different range of skills to the business. Firstly, he has implemented all of the systems in the Nursery, the tablet based Famly system being the 3rd solution we have used since 2004, and has also developed the companies website. He has taken on the role of head of finance and operations and also gets involved in maintenance and DIY around the nursery, fixing things as required. You may also see him on the door and covering lunches when needed.
Staff
With a team of over 30, our staff are our biggest asset, most of them have been with us for more that 5 years and almost half have been here now for more than 10 years. Having a low staff turnover is essential to providing the consistent high level of childcare we provide and for parents it's a familiar face throughout their child's stay with us. We hope it also demonstrates that we provide a positive friendly and supportive environment that benefits the staff, children and also our parents. The majority of our staff are fully qualified with the remainder currently training to achieve their qualification. All staff receive regular first aid training and complete on-line courses in food handling, safeguarding, health and safety plus a number of other courses to support their roles.

We have staff in key roles who have received additional training to further support their colleagues and families of children that attend. These include our level leaders, designated safeguarding officer, special educational needs coordinator, (SENCO) and communication champion.

Our staffs' health and wellbeing is extremely important to us and our management team strive to ensure that everyone gets the support they need to excel in their roles.
