Preschool level would like parents/ carers to be aware that they will be holding an Olympic Sports Day in June.
You may already be aware that Parents Evenings are this week between May15th to May17th, if you are unable to attend please feel free to organise an alternative date with your child’s key worker.
This year we are closed on Monday June4th and Tuesday June 5th as it is the Queens Jubilee. To celebrate this we are having a party on Friday 1st June. We invite your child to wear anything in red, white and/or blue. We will play some traditional British party games and end the day with a party tea. If you wish to book your child in for an extra session or day please speak to Michelle or Gina as soon as possible.
We would like to welcome Lauren to Sunflowers, Nicky to Busy Bees and Zara to Caterpillars. All our new staff are qualified to level 3 in Early Years and have several years experience. Although, we are going to be saying goodbye to Emma who has worked for us for 10 years. We are really going to miss her, but wish her all the very best in her new career. Kerry who usually works in Sunflowers will be transferring to Daisies.
We would really appreciate it if parents and carers could label EVERYTHING please. Also, we ask that children refrain from bringing toys etc from home.
In house training for Food handling was held last month, therefore, the majority of our staff have completed level 2 in Food Handling now. Claire has undertaken the Outdoor Practitioners for under 5’s course recently and is looking forward to having her own vegetable patch outside where she and the children will enjoy growing things like tomatoes, potatoes, strawberries and herbs.
Thanks to our parents and carers who ring nursery and let us know if their child is unwell. Please be aware we have had 1 confirmed case of chicken pox in the past week.
Preschool level would like parents/ carers to be aware that they will be holding an Olympic Sports Day in June. The date will be confirmed nearer the time and notices will be displayed on the level.
Some children will be moving to different rooms from now until August. Please feel free to discuss any issues relating to this with your child’s key worker. You will be introduced to the staff in your child’s new room and they will given a couple of settling in sessions prior to moving.
